Diagnosis
You lowered the line so you could stop feeling the miss. That is not contentment. Contentment can coexist with a high standard. Resignation cannot.
Protocol
- 1Name the area: body, marriage, craft, faith, money, courage.
- 2Write the standard you would respect in a peer. Be specific.
- 3Close a 10% gap this week. Not a reinvention. A honest inch.
The standard: Stop calling numbness wisdom. Move the line back up one notch.
